Verse 1:
I have a place in me that bleeds softly lest I forget the pain
my wound runs so deep as if it's there to keep the monster I have slain

Refrain:
just making sure I remember that I don't surrender the truth of me
remembering I have a choice to always hear the voice 
my truth speaking softly, truth speaking softly

Verse 2:
I have a torn place a raw and gaping space which sutures will not hold
but I am healing returning to feeling as slowly I unfold

I have a challenge it's true just like anyone of you a path uniquely mine
yes all of us have pain for truth we must regain everyone in their own time
